Sunday, 10th Apr 2011 - Dinner

This week is Chinese Qing Ming.

This morning we went to pay our respect to my late maternal grandparents at Mandai (1st level 71 & 72) with my parents and my mother's siblings. We also went across to other building to visit my late paternal uncle. This was my husband first time. After that we all went to Ang Mo Kio Hub food court for lunch and I ordered sambal seafood set for Obba and I had claypot fried fish. We left everyone there after our lunch as we had to be back home to prepare for house viewing. (we will be moving to Sydney so we need to rent out our Condo)

As for dinner, we finished our leftover budaejjigae with some banchan.

Saturday, 9th Apr 2011 - Dinner

It's been 3 weeks we didnt visit Garuda.. And brunch time!!! As for dinner we had budaejjigae. Yum Yum.

Friday, 8th Apr 2011 - Full Meals

This morning we are having Turkey ham on burger bun for breakfast.

Another first attempt for lunch. I made curry prawn for Obba but he does not like it becos I used coconut milk..So, no next time!

Western dinner again! ^^ yummy, I love western food! Broccoli soup & summer salad for sides and Obba's main will be beef steak with beer and mine will be my favorite lamb steak with a glass of blanc :))

Thursday, 7th Apr 2011 - Full Meals

Turkey ham on ciabatta for breakfast and Obba complaint that the breakfast portion was bigger than last night dinner.. : ((

This afternoon lunch is also my first attempt. We always love basil but I did not really know how to use this herbs further. Today we will have pasta with home-made basil sauce (I love it!) with my favorite tomato and mozzarella cheese with EVOO. However, I dont think my husband likes it cos he kept very quiet throughout the lunch..(his style-kept very quiet)

I made another first attempt for dinner again. I made Paella. Honestly, I have never try it before and Obba always wanted to have it so I looked up the recipe and found this. Obba loved it and according to him, mine taste almost authentic. Well, I will try to look for this cuisine and try it myself before I can agree with my husband! ^^

Wednesday, 6th Apr 2011 - Full Meals

Finally, we can finish all the cupcakes : )

Thai basil chicken for lunch. (Another of my husband's favorite)

Western dinner! Salmon burger (my first attempt and turned out to be wonderful! Thanks to Rachael Ray!) with baked sweet potato and salad with a glass of blanc. Obba loved it so much and he wanted more. At the end, I gave half of my burger and sweet potato to him ; (

Tuesday, 5th Apr 2011 - Full Meals

Another brand new day!

Ewa's style big breakfast with missing bacon. (I burnt the bacon...)

Fried rice for lunch using leftover ingredients from yesterday's Viet wrap.

Cupcakes before Obba's tennis and instant jjajangmyeon after his tennis.

Monday, 4th Apr 2011 - Full Meals

The past 10 days were hell to us...or maybe still hell to everyone at home in Korea. My father-in-law passed away on the 20th March 2011 around 11pm. The only consolation we made ourselves believed will be he passed away "peacefully" in his sleep. I came back Singapore for some urgent errands after the important ceremonies for his funeral. My husband stayed with his family till last night. It was an eye-opener for me going through all these ceremonies and Korean culture thou it was not a good one. (funeral)

Since Obba were in Korea for 2 weeks and have been having Korean food, I will plan him a full week of western and non-Korean meals (if possible) for this week.

We did not have our breakfast as he touched down around 1+am and we slept around 3+am.

I prepared his favorite Vietnamese wrap for lunch. (trust me, it was whole lots of work!Phew!)

In the photo, on the left are cooked shrimps, crab meats, asparagus and mushrooms. In the middle, is my Obba's favorite's sauce with loads of bird's eye chillies (chilli padi) and minced garlic and on the right, there are sliced fried eggs, apples, tomatoes, avocado, red capsicums and alfa sprouts. Enjoy!

Before his tennis, I made banana cupcakes and instant bibim naengmyeon after his tennis.

Sunday, 20th Mar 2011 - Lunch and Dinner

Again no breakfast! Why? Not sure why and dont ask me why cos I dont know why! hahaha..

I prepared Korean style spicy fried squids for lunch and seafood olio aglio, salmon salad and baked fries for dinner. Yummy!

Saturday, 19th Mar 2011 - No Cooking!

My favorite day in the week! ^^

We went for jjambbong instead of Garuda!

As for dinner, we packed home the famous black pepper crab from Still Road. My Obba loved it!!! This pepper crab not only uses pepper but a lot of dark soy sauce and it make it even tastier! However, the sambal kangkong was not up to our standard.. No more kangkong from them anymore! Enjoy!

Friday, 18th Mar 2011 - Lunch

I cannot remember why we skipped breakfast.. maybe I have forgotten to take pictures or I have stayed too long in my dream..

Lunch I prepared kailan with sambal sauce and kimchi fried pork (I used smoked pork belly cos I hate the smell of raw pork ~_~)

As for dinner, we went to a nearby Chinese restaurant across Jalan Bersah Stadium. Jonathan (I gave him this name when he wanted to have a nickname), my husband's friend from Korea and just moved to Singapore 9 months ago has invited us to the football match. The team head coach is a Korean. As for the dinner, the food wise still acceptable but quite expensive. I ordered a glass of watermelon juice but it tasted like watermelon's skin juice..

Thursday, 17th Mar 2011 - Breakfast and Lunch

Sorry for not updating my blog for awhile. Life is really unpredictable.. I will let you know what makes me said so as you keep reading my blog.

Thursday is just another day to a perfectly healthy person. We had our usual assorted toasts and lunch I prepared a new dish - stirred-fried prawn in black bean sauce (my husband loves it!) and kailan in oyster sauce.
