Saturday, 26th Feb 2011 - Lunch and Dinner

After the medication from the doctor, we both got better but the medicine made me feel tired.. I fed my husband with junks for breakfast again - leftover cookies from CNY.

Lunch we had kim-bap and dinner I have prepared chicken breast wraps with broccoli and vegetable soup. Enjoy!

Friday, 25th Feb 2011 - Full Meals

Today will be our last day of cupcake breakfast! : ) After breakfast, I have to prepare for early lunch as my husband will be going for another meeting at 1.30pm.

We had marinated fried squids and leftover vegetable with fermented bean paste soup as our main and homemade raddish kimchi, fried anchovies and kimchi as our dase ban-chan. And dinner we had leftover Korean bean sprouts soup and fried fish for the main and homemade black bean, kimchi and broccoli with oyster sauce for the base ban-chan.

Thursday, 24th Feb 2011 - Breakfast and Lunch

Same breakfast and lunch I have prepared the leftover fish from teppanyaki and vegetable with fermented bean paste soup [(ugeoji guk) it can be substitute with napa cabbage] as the main ban-chan and homemade black bean, fried anchovies and kimchi as the base ban-chan.

In the afternoon,  my husband had a meeting and he got drenched in the rain while leaving. He was feeling worst when we got home. We went to the doctor around our area and had fish ball noodle soup for dinner.

Wednesday, 23rd Feb 2011 - Full Meals

We had the same breakfast as yesterday and we will be going to have it for the rest of the day too. As I have mentioned earlier, there were only two people and two kittens in this family we have to eat lots of repeated food cos it is not easy to cook for two. The cupcake usually will add up to 12 pieces and our kittens only eat the crumbs so 12/3=4days.

After last night dinner, my husband looks like he is feeling better so I decided to make him even bigger lunch to give him more energy. : B Korean style Vietnamese wraps and the portions were a bit scary but Obba managed to finish everything!!! I prepared mushroom, crabmeats, prawns and asparagus on the first plate and second plate apple, tomatoes, fried egg white, fried egg york, red capsicum, avocado and alfa sprouts with homemade spicy sauce.  잘먹겠습니다!

Dinner will be Korean bean sprouts soup (kongnamul guk) and this is my first attempt too and fried chicken breast (dak galbi ) as the main ban-chan and kimchi, fried anchovies and chive stems as the base ban-chan.

Tuesday, 22nd Feb 2011 - Full Meals

My huband looks better this morning after our own prescribed medication - Panadol with cold. We had my homemade banana and cereal cupcake with yogurt for breakfast.

But after breakfast he looks more fatigued than before so I made him Pinenut porridge (jat juk) and this will be my first attempt. Let cross our finger it will turn out good! :)

The result for pinenut porridge were quite good. Personnal I have not try it before so no comment from me and my husband loves it! I decided he should eat more to give him more energy. Dinner I transformed the leftover pork into fried pork (jeyukbokeum) and seaweed soup for the main ban-chan and fried anchovies, kimchi and kim for the base ban-chan. Obba, eat more and get well soon! (dont gimme additional trouble :P)

Monday, 21st Feb 2011 - Lunch, Snacks and Dinner

Finally my husband got sick after all these frying food... fever, nose blocked and cough. By the time, I finished preparing the abalone porridge it was already lunch time (need 2hrs to soak the rice).

In the late afternoon, he was feeling better so I thought it will be good for him to play tennis. I have prepared the homemade red bean pau (Hobbang).

When he came back from tennis his condition became worst so I feed his with the leftover abalone porridge.

Sunday, 20th Feb 2011 - Lunch

Not sure why I did not prepare breakfast again... Most likely I woke up late again. : B

Lunch I used all the leftover from the steamboat for fried rice and fruits and then went to pick up my mother to Marina Bay Sands for the SkyPark and Fei Yu Ching Concert.

The view from the SkyPark were great! And we had a good time with my mother. My husband took pictures with my mother too! After that, we had dinner at the food court and head to FYC's concert. I think it was really worth the price. His concert always full of his voices no waste of time changing of fancy outfits. My mother enjoyed very much except that she did not get the free umbrella after the concert. : P

Saturday, 19th Feb 2011 - Dinner

It is Saturday again! I did not make breakfast as we will be going for early brunch at husband's favorite Indonesian restaurant. After lunch we went to No. One Fullerton and Clifford Pier for a short stroll and relax at Starbucks. It was a wonderful afternoon to be there as it was not crowded we love it there! :))

As for dinner, I used the leftover prawns from the teppanyaki for tempura and seaweed soup for our main ban-chan and chive stems, fried anchovies, kimchi and kailan with oyster sauce as out base ban-chan. Wow... overeaten again!!

Friday, 18th Feb 2011 - Full Meals

We have quite a bit of leftover from yesterday so my aim wil be transforming all the leftovers to yummy treats for my husband! : P

Breakfast we had the same burger-like bun with salmon, lettuces and fried eggs with coffee.

As for lunch, I used most of the steamboat leftover to fry fried rice and serve with coke zero.

Then dinner, I used the chicken breast meat from the teppanyaki for Thai Basil Chicken. Yumyum!

Thursday, 17th Feb 2011 - Lunch and Dinner

Today is the 15th days of Chinese New Year, we also celebrate it as "yuan xiao" meaning everyone gather together to have dinner and eat "tang yuan" (songpyeon). Same as last year, I have invited a few of my closes friends to our home for steamboat and teppanyaki.

I woke up very early today to clean up the house and feed my husband with junks food like biscuits. As for lunch, I have prepared chicken breast wraps, chicken with vegetable soup and bori-cha. My husband loves it too but he prefers oven-baked.

After lunch, I have to start to prepare the ingredients for the steamboat and teppanyaki. Luckily I have prepared some a few days ago so now I just need to chop chop chop, slice, slice, slice and place it neatly on the platter. By the time I am done, Dave's family arrived and so as the rest. After the dinner, we had some card games. We had an enjoyable evening and they left around 11.30pm. Thanks buddy!

PS: I will put up the pictures once I have it.

Wednesday, 16th Feb 2011 - Breakfast and Lunch

Breakfast - mini burger-like stuff with fried eggs, lettuces and salmon with coffee yumyum! :p

After breakfast I have to prepare for my hubby's lunch as I will be out to my another close friend, Nora Sayang's new apartment. I was in the hurry and forgotten to take picture of it and I have prepare fried rice again ! : P Obba, 마니마니먹어요!

I had a good lunch at my friend's place and then we head to pick up one of her daughters from school to Parkway Parade and then had coffee and head to pick up her another daughter from school and back to Parkway and we went for foot reflexology. By the time we finished, Nora went home with the kids and my Obba came and had dinner with me after the grocery shopping.

What a tired day! I have not been going out for so long.. the longest I am out will be at my parent's parent's place. I missed My kittens..

Tuesday, 15th Feb 2011 - Lunch

Today we went to Kallang Leisure Park for breakfast and followed by groceries shopping. By noon, I have prepared the leftover pollack soup as main ban-chan (only one main??!!) and sambal kailan, oyster mushroom, pancake and fried anchovies as the base ban-chan.

Tonight Obba is playing tennis so I wont be cooking! Cheers! : ))

This morning we are sending our car to the service center at Queenstown. We leave after breakfast and we will be staying in town for the whole day : (

Assorted toasts and yogurt with coffee  : )

In the  afternoon, we went to Tanjong Pagar, International Plaza for lunch. My hubby likes the sambal kang kong (water spinach) in on of the restaurant and the plus point is that the lady boss speaks a bit of Korean! : )

After lunch we went to the service center and the place was quite spacious and quiet it will be the best place for us to do our work with free drinks an biscuits!

We head to my parent's place after we collected our car and had vegetable burger from "Botak Jones" at the nearby coffee shop.

Thursday, 10th Feb 2011 - Lunch, Snacks and Dinner

Not sure why we had no breakfast again.. I guess I must have overslept hehehe... Well, I made him good meals for the rest of the day to compensate for the missing breakfast! ; p

Again we had the leftover kimchi jjigae and fried fish as the main ban-chan and kim, oyster mushroom and kailan with oyster sauce as the base ban-chan with my mother's herbal tea.

This is my first time making mochi. First I have to make the red bean paste from raw red beans and use some of it for the red bean pau (hobbang). This mochi recipe is relatively easy. It did not take too much time and most importantly my husband loves it!  There were some debates over You-tube about the origin of mochi. Personally I think it is very silly to debate about who had it first cos good food is about taste and  appreciation and it does not matter where it is from! : )

After my husband's tennis, I prepared another of his favorite -  Thai Basil Chicken. Cheers!

Sunday, 6th Feb 2011 - Breakfast

One of my maternal aunt invited us to her new apartment around Queenstown. After our home-made big breakfast, we head to my parent's place and drive to my aunt's home.

I was really excited to meet one of my uncles who  have not seen for more than 10 years! Due to some personal issues, he was unable to attend our wedding so today will be his first time meeting my husband.

It was good that my uncle speaks good English so my husband does not feel too bored with all the old Cantonese speaking uncles and aunties ; P

That shows how delicate Korean cuisine can be!), bulgogi as the main ban-chan, home-made black bean & shredded raddish, kim-chi and sambal broccoli as the base ban-chan. (I know this dish does not match with the traditional Korean food however, this is my hubby's favorite dish!)
